Peterhead Athletics Club

PAC are delighted to be able to offer a range of junior sessions for those in Primary 4 right through to secondary aged youngsters.

Our sessions will improve fitness, balance, co-ordination, stamina and strength as well as being loads of fun.

The starting point for all juniors is our Fundamental Group which offers run, jump, throw activities in a fun, non competitive setting.

Progression is to our Foundation Group which continues to develop run, jump, throw skills and begins to introduce technical aspects of specific events.  Over the winter months we incorporate X-Country running into our schedule as we believe that this is the best form of winter training regardless of your preferred events.

Our weekly junior track sessions run throughout the year and compliment our run, jump, throw sessions.

Conditioning- these sessions run over the winter months only and develop core strength and fitness.

PAC also supports any junior who wishes to take part in competitions.  We currently enter a joint team with Ellon AAC into the Grampian Athletics League - a great starting point in track and field competitions.  Off the track we are strongly represented at local X-country events as well as local road races.

Summer training:

Starting Tues 17th April 2018:

Fundamental group Tues 5.30pm-6.30pm at Catto Park with Nicola, Alison, Teresa and Laura

Sprinting Workshop Tuesday 6.30pm-7.00pm at Catto Park with Nicola (invite only)

Foundation Group Tues 6.30pm-7.30pm at Catto Park with Teresa and Alison (invite only)

Junior Track Tues 6.30pm-7.30pm at Catto Park with Sandy

League Competitors- Thursday 6.30pm-7.45pm at Catto with Teresa and Alison

Progression to sessions are by mutual agreement between coach and athlete.
